Visit from the Martin Family over Valentine's Day!

I know I am way behind on blogging. Daniel was home for his two weeks off, so blogging was not my first priority. Daniel came home on the Thursday before Valentine's day to a 14 month old throwing up everywhere. We had our first bout with throw up as parents and let me tell you, that is something I hope doesn't happen again for a long time. My Dad, Becky and brother's and sister were scheduled to come up Saturday so we told them to go ahead and come on up because we thought it was only a little 24 hour bug. Well, Gage had it for about 72 hours and then he so nicely passed it on to his mother. (After my family left, they got it too! UGH!!!) Anyway, other than feeling yuck most of the time they were here, we had a really good visit. Gage got to hang with his Grampie, Bebe and uncle and aunts as well as his Daddy he hadn't seen for two weeks. We had good weather, so we were able to spend some time outside, as well as yummy food and fun playing Apples to Apples after the little man went to bed. Mommy and Baby Swim Classes

Gage loves the water so we decided to get him signed up for swim classes with mommy on Mondays and Wednesdays. We have met some fun new friends and really enjoyed getting to spend some time in the (kinda cold) water. Now, I just can't wait for summer to come so we can swim outside in the sun! Come on Summer!! Daniel has been home this week so he was able to come and watch as well as take a few pics. Please excuse my very white body! (It's blinding!)

February Visit from Gigi!

These last two weeks have been really hard with Daniel out of town and the snow and ice keeping us house bound, so Gigi coming to visit was a much needed TREAT!! Gigi spoiled both Gage and I!! She cooked, cleaned, folded laundry and played with her grandson which was such a help to me! My mother is such a wonderful women and I am so thankful to have her available to come in visit on a pretty regular basis. Here are a few pictures of her visit.

Valentine's Playdate!

Today, Gage and I braved the SNOW again and headed out to a friends house for a fun Valentine playdate. There were five kiddos, tons of toys, yummy food, Valentine's crafts, and time for the mommy's to visit! Oh what fun! Thanks so much Julie for having us over! It was a blast! Here are a few pics!

If mommy's need a quick and cute craft idea, we made potato prints with heart cut outs in them. They turned out really cute and I think the kiddos enjoyed it. (Well maybe the mommy's enjoyed it more.)

Super Bowl Living room Picnic!

What a better way to watch the super bowl and enjoy some yummy food, than to have a picnic on the floor. Daniel has been out of town so it's just Gage and I. We cheered on those Saints with a cool picnic on the floor. It was lots of fun. I set up Gage's food in a Valentine Muffin tin (great idea by the Muffin Tin Mom blog) and he really enjoyed it. I managed to set the timer on the camera and capture a few pics. Stay tuned for more new posts!
