While Daddy is away, Gage will PAINT and PLAY!

I have pulled out all the stops to entertain our little one these last couple of days. Daniel has been out of town a lot lately so I haven't had that 5:30-7:00pm relief that normally comes at night when he gets home. Yesterday, my neighbor Nikki and her son Ryder came over for some finger paint, pool and sprinkler fun! Gage was more into folding, and eating the paper than finger painting. I thought it would go better than it did because he is so into banging these days, I had envisioned putting paint on his hands and let him bang away on the paper. Oh well, I know he is only 7 months old so we have many more years to perfect our MONET painting.
After painting and swimming, we came in and played with his new piano and Music table. He loves them both and I think we have the next MOZART on our hands. He's trying to crawl, and has perfected the art of scooting but doesn't have the legs and arms down for the crawling. He can get up on his hands and knees, moves one hand and then plops back down on his belly. After doing this many times, he just gets frustrated and uses rolling across the living room as his means of transportation. He will master this crawling thing soon, I guess. Anyway, I made a little slide show to show what fun we had yesterday. Enjoy!!

Three New Posts!

Sorry I have been slacking in the blogging department! I got caught up today so check out the three new posts below!

Bath Time Fun!

Playing at the Park!

My Future is Looking Bright!

Bath Time Fun!

Gage loves bath time. We spend 20 minutes a night just letting him splash and play. A few nights ago he was laughing up a storm when we would squirt him with the bath toy. Of course, when I go to get the camera he won't really do it, so this is the best we could get! Sorry for my ridiculous voice!

Playtime at the Park!

Today was a gorgeous day! The weather was wonderful. We had a little cool front, so our high today was 88. We decided to enjoy this weather and headed to the park. My neighbor and her son joined us. We had a little picnic and then spent some time swinging and playing on the fun toys they had. It was a blast. I can't wait until Gage is a little older so he will appreciate it even more! Here are some pics from all our fun!

My Future is Looking Bright!

Gage was looking cool on our walk one morning. It was so bright that day so I put the shades on him! Looking good little man!! (Check out those thighs!) He is like the Michelin Man! I love all 18 pounds of him!

Gage's Giggle

Gage is growing so fast and his personality is really developing. He loves to smile, laugh and recently he has this silly little giggle. While my family was here (my Dad's side), Danielle, caught that sweet little giggle on video. I just had to share this! (He is obviously in love with our Doggy.) Oh, and sorry about the very dirty window. Macie puts her noes up to it daily while she is outside, and I just can't keep it clean.

Gage's First Sleep Over!

On Wednesday, Gage and I made a very impulsive decision to drive to Dallas for a quick over night stay with the Schmidt's. My best friend Sarah and her mom were driving down to stay with Adam, Vickie and the two girls and I had yet to meet those two precious twins-so now was my chance. We hopped in the car around 12:30 on Wednesday and after only about five minutes Gage was sound asleep. I thought this would be a great time to go so Gage could take his nap in the car. Well he slept for about thirty minutes of the ride and cried for another two hours. It was the longest drive of my life. We FINALLY arrived in Dallas after a very stressful car ride, unloaded and visited with Sarah and Pegs before the girls got home. They are two very beautiful girls with such great dispositions. I forgot what it was like to have a baby that small. Even though it was only a few months ago-they just grow up so fast. We had a nice dinner with the grown ups after all babies were put to sleep and did a little visiting before we turned in ourselves.

Thursday morning we were up and at em early. We had some more baby time, and Gage visited with his potential future girlfriends and then it was back on the road. I endured another brutal car ride of screaming (I have decided I will not travel in a car with him any time soon) and we were finally home. We had a great visit with everyone even though it was quick. Thanks to the Schmidt's for having us!!

God Bless the USA!!

We had a wonderful 4th of July weekend. Daniel had both Thursday and Friday off, so we had lots of time together as a family. On Thursday, Daniel went with Gage and I to our fun Gymboree class. Daddy got to see what it was all about and meet all our wonderful friends that we have met there. After nap time, we did a little swimming in the baby pool while Daniel put up Gage's new swing we bought for our backyard. He loves the swing. He just giggles and laughs the whole time he's in it. I think Gage is going to be that typical boy who loves to be outside and getting dirty. He is very content outdoors.

Friday, we did lots of work around the house. Mowing, watering, pulling weeds, cleaning and doing laundry. Oh, Gage and I also made a trek to the Grocery store. Let me just tell you, don't ever go to the grocery store the day before the 4th. It was an absolute mad house. I went with my list in hand and thought I would be in and out of there quick. Man was I wrong. 1 1/2 hours later. Never again!!

Saturday we got up bright and early. Got ourselves together and out the door by eight o'clock. We headed into Edmond to get a good seat for the 4th of July parade. We got great seats and enjoyed a wonderful parade. Except for the sound of the firetrucks. Man if you could have seen how scared Gage was when the sirens came on. I felt horrible. He was so upset. We had to hold him and comfort him for the next few minutes, but he was ok after that. Then Saturday afternoon we headed over to our neighbors house for good old July 4th cooking. We had hamburgers, hotdogs, and the works. Gage made it until 7 but unfortunately didn't get to see any fireworks this year. Maybe next year.

Happy Birthday America! God Bless the USA!!

Pinned yah- Pinned yah again!! (Name that Movie)

Daniel has been home for the last few days, and Gage has enjoyed every minute of it. He loves to wrestle with his daddy, and I took some video of them having fun last night. He has developed such a little personality lately and I love to hear his cute giggle. I can't wait to see them wrestle as Gage gets older. Boys will be boys!!

Making a Mess!!

This is what happens when you try to blow bubbles while eating sweet potatoes.
